The itch is back

The itch is back

The one in my fingertips, to be precise.

It's icy cold here in sunny Trimaris and as always that stirs my desire to sew up a cozy comfy 14th century cotehardie/surcotte outfit. I even have the right fabrics right here, pre-washed and just begging to be turned into something pretty. At Pennsic I bought (probably not enough) tiny pewter buttons and pewter spangles; I have silk yarn to add fancy embroidery and I'm just all giddy about the idea to add things like shoes with cut work.

What's holding me back, you wonder?

My fingers are frozen stiff and I cannot unwrap them from my mug of tea any longer than to type up this entry.

Gah!
